To Tell the Tales of Griffins:
Memoir with Saab Cars

To explore and preserve my personal connection to a brand that no longer exists, I created To Tell the Tales of Griffins: Memoir with Saab Cars—a book that reimagines memories through an alternative storytelling method. By portraying vehicles and objects as humanoid characters, I craft a fictional yet emotionally resonant universe where real-life events are woven into an imaginative world. Each character’s design reflects personal experiences, transforming memories into unique visual and narrative forms.

256 Aesthetic A→B
Out of the modern internet environment, people built their taste and aesthetic through virtual interaction. I collected 256 images out of social media posts, which I’ve acknowledged their influence on my own taste. I’ve categorized and lined them up on a linear plane from one style to another.  The outcome is this book, with every fold and crease hand-folded.

(The ownership of the images goes to their respective copyrighted owner, details in the book’s caption)

Nautical Miles
Inspired by the stencil type paint on sailing boats, I combine the stencil type with my own handwriting to form this unique type. By separating each stroke of the writing, the font still keeps a handwritten style while the extra cut of each letter strengthens the structure of the glyph, making it possibly easier to cut on physical materials.

Fish Eddy Campaign concept

An attempt to create a unique advertisement campaign of a local brand in NYC, Fish Eddy’s plates and tableware inspired my ideas through introducing a unique design to the table. The main visual is re-created on multiple media: website, prints, motion graphics, and short animations are made to cover most exposure of possible customers

Shiretoko:
UNESCO site book

A visual of introducing one UNESCO site is made to bring awareness of both the cultural and natural blessings that humans are gifted to pass down to our future generation. Shiretoko is one of them and is famous for preserving natural diversity and sheltering wilderness from civilization. The print and landing page website visual is designed to help the audience understand the beauty and importance of the UNESCO site more easily.
